The Challenge
Lucid Motors sells directly to consumers, which means Sales & Delivery new hires carry a lot of responsibility from day one. Without dedicated onsite finance managers, they need to confidently navigate:
- Finance and lease product conversations
- Customer communication across the full sales journey
- Cross-functional workflows unique to a direct-to-consumer model
- High-stakes moments where hesitation costs trust and deals
Employee surveys pointed to a clear gap: new hires needed more confidence in customer-facing finance discussions. Lucid needed an onboarding program that could close that gap quickly, consistently, and at scale.
The Solution
Lucid built DRIVE 100, a 100-day onboarding and development program designed to grow confidence, capability, and performance among new Sales & Delivery hires. To power the knowledge side of the program, Lucid partnered with Trivie to launch the Lucid Financial Services (LFS) Success Track.
Trivie’s AI-driven knowledge retention platform used gamified microlearning and spaced repetition to help new hires remember what they learned and apply it on the job. Trivie built e-learning, workbook activities, and assessments tailored to LFS content, then layered them alongside instructor-led training, guided practice, coaching, and standardized assessments throughout the 100-day journey.
The combination gave new hires more than a training checklist. It gave them repeated, reinforced practice with the exact conversations they’d face on the floor.
